It would hold seasonal events and pantomimes for those living in the community. Over time, it ran summer playschemes and became responsible for much of the planting around the village while taking up residency in the old annex of West Moor Middle School.
In 2007, it took on the mammoth responsibility of running the newly built West Moor Community Centre and the rest is history.
The Centre holds all sorts of activities and events, catering for all ages and the Association is still working hard for the community, a community that stretches far and wide.
