Booking Fee & Cancellations
Booking fees -
A £20 booking fee is applicable to all bookings with us. Payment of this fee reserves the item for you and makes it unavailable for anyone else to book. It also goes towards our administration time to process your booking and also fees that PayPal charge us for processing your payment. If you wish to cancel your booking with us for any reason we will retain the booking fee to compensate for our losses as above.
The exceptions to these two instances as follows-
- 1). The Party Business are unable to fulfill your booking for any reason setout by us.
- 2). Heavy, prolonged rain is forecast for the hire period or the wind gust speed above the safe limit we can setup at we will transfer your booking to another date within 12 months.
The £20 Deposit or Booking fee is non-refundable. Most cancellations are due to adverse weather conditions decided by The Party Business with weather information from the metoffice for the following reasons- 60-70% chance of rain throughout the day, continuous or recent heavy rain that could leave ground saturated and or wind speed/wind gust above 17-24mph- any bouncy castle can NOT be set up or used in any of the above conditions, the law states we cannot setup the equipment in these weather conditions and we would never take any risks.
If WE cancel the booking for weather conditions you can transfer your booking to another date if we have the products available for your date. No money will be refunded and we will honour the booking fee for upto 12 months.

Please ensure you have measured the location where the equipment will be setup (all measurements can be found on our website) any issues with misleading or incorrect information giving on booking will result in no refund being issued.
Please ensure that the access area and the chosen location for the equipment is clear of all litter, rubbish and animal waste if necessary please cut any grass where the equipment will be setup a few days before the hire date.
Failure to comply will render the Hirer liable for 100% (one hundred percent) of these hire cost.
If you book any Inflatable or soft play on hard standing OUTDOOR surface (concrete/paving slabs) you will loose the £20 Booking fee. Failure to comply the booking will be cancelled with no refund.
Cancellations Policy.
Cancellations Policy: Once you have placed an order you have entered into a contract. However we understand that cancellations are needed to be made from time to time, our cancellation terms are outlined below and are designed to be very reasonable. The policy is only in place to protect both our and your best interests and ensure that our out of pocket expenses are covered. It is not designed to be profitable on our part. By employing our services, you are not automatically entitled to a cooling off period under Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 - Catering and Leisure Supplies for a time specific date.
Booking Fees: On orders exceeding £175 we ask for a £20 booking fee to secure your event. These payments are non-refundable. However we do understand that sometimes a cancellation is unavoidable and will therefore offer a credit note to the value of the fee, to be used within 12 months from the date of cancellation. This credit is only issued if we are informed of said cancellation with at least 7 days notice, by email.
Orders up to £100: Cancellations are accepted. All we ask is that you cancel the order before 12noon on the friday before your event. Should your order be cancelled after 12noon on the friday before your event or on the day of the event (including refusal of delivery on arrival) your order will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee (Reduced to 50% if paid within 7 days) to cover cost already laid out for your booking such as the testing and organising of your entertainment, loading up, vehicle & generator hire and staff commitments which will now have to be paid for regardless of weather your event goes ahead or not.
Orders between £100 and £200: Cancellations are accepted but must be made at least 7 days in advance of the event in order not to incur a cancellation charge. Cancellations made between 7 days in advance of the event and up until 12noon on the day before your event will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee (Reduced to 50% if paid within 7 days)
to cover our costs. Should your order be cancelled after 12noon on the day before your event or on the day of the event (including refusal of delivery on arrival) your order will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee to cover cost already laid out for your booking such as the testing and organising of your entertainment, loading up, vehicle & generator hire and staff commitments which will now have to be paid for regardless of weather your event goes ahead or not.
Orders between £200 and £400: Cancellations are accepted but must be made at least 14days in advance of the event in order not to incur a full cancellation charge.
There are no refunds paid. We offer a credit note to the value of your fee, to be used within 12 months from the date of cancellation.
Cancellations made between 14 days in advance of the event and up until 12noon on the day before your event will be subject to a 100% cancellation (Reduced to 50% if paid within 7 days) fee to cover our costs. Should your order be cancelled after 12noon on the day before your event or on the day of the event (including refusal of delivery on arrival) your order will be subject to a 100% cancellation (Reduced to 50% if paid within 7 days) fee to cover cost already laid out for your booking such as the testing and organising of your entertainment, loading up, vehicle & generator hire and staff commitments which will now have to be paid for regardless of weather your event goes ahead or not.
Orders over £400: Unfortunately all orders over the value of £400 are subject to a 100% cancellation fee regardless of when the order or cancellation is made due to the large amount of preparation and event management that will have taken place already that must be recovered. Should your order be cancelled after 12noon on the day before your event or on the day of the event (including refusal of delivery on arrival) your order will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee to cover cost already laid out for your booking such as the testing and organising of your entertainment, loading up, vehicle & generator hire and staff commitments which will now have to be paid for regardless of weather your event goes ahead or not.
Cancellations on arrival due to not fitting: All sizes and dimensions are clearly displayed on our website. Should we arrive on the day and the items do not fit in your chosen venue or event area your order will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee to cover cost already laid out for your booking such as the testing and organising of your entertainment, loading up, vehicle & generator hire and staff commitments which will now have to be paid for regardless of weather your event goes ahead or not. No exceptions. We will try our best to provide an alternative or accommodate the relocation of the entertainment, however our event staff will only have a small amount of time allocated to your booking and must keep a tight schedule in order to not disrupt other bookings on that day.
Refusal of delivery: Should our team arrive at your venue and for whatever reason you cancel the booking your order will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee to cover cost already laid out for your booking such as the testing and organising of your entertainment, loading up, fuel costs, vehicle & generator hire and staff commitments which will have to be paid for regardless of weather your event goes ahead or not. WET OR BAD WEATHER IS NOT A VALID REASON FOR TURNING US AWAY WITHOUT NOTICE AND THE CANCELLATION CHARGE WILL STILL APPLY.
General terms applicable to all cancellations
ALL Cancellations must be made in writing via letter or email regardless of how the entertainment was booked and within the time scales outlined above.
Cancellations left on a voice mail are not acceptable as they may not be picked up until after your event. You must speak with a human being during normal working hours
Please bear in mind that all our items are weather sensitive. Inflatables being more sensitive than most. Our policy is that we will turn up regardless of the weather conditions and install the equipment as agreed, However safety is paramount and although items may be installed they may not be suitable for use during some conditions such as wind, rain and other potentially dangerous factors. We will not compromise on safety and our decision is final, regardless of loss of revenue or expense on your part. Please see Terms and conditions for further details .
Please remember that inflatables shall not be used in wind conditions above 24mph and in wet conditions. The hirer will remain responsible for suitable action to be taken to avoid injury unless our staff have been provided to assist at an additional cost.
Please bare in mind we reserve the right to cancel your booking at any time and will not be held liable under any circumstances.
The Beaufort scale of wind force has been listed below to assist with your decisions. Please print a copy of this for use with an anemometer on the day. If you don't have one, please let us know in advance and we will be happy to provide one on the day for you free of charge. After all safety is paramount!
We do not offer REFUNDS of any kind and all monies would be swapped over to a credit note.
