Matfen is a small village about fifteen miles north west of Newcastle and two miles north of the Military Road, which follows the line of Hadrian's Wall across Northumberland. Despite its quiet, rural atmosphere, the village is well-connected to the main roads which connect the county – the A69 from east to west and the A68 and A696 from south to north. The hall is right in the centre of the village. It was once part of the village school and shares the building with Matfen Store, a thriving enterprise which combines a village shop with a popular café. The open space of the village green and the newly installed playarea is on its doorstep. Only a few of our inflatables will fit inside the venue. Matfen village hall can be booked with or without access to the kitchen facilities. Booking rates are as follows: Monday-Friday: £15 for the first hour and £10 per hour thereafter Weekends: £30 for the first 3 hours and £10 per hour thereafter Use of kitchen: £5 Regular useage: contact us for a special rate for regular hire For booking enquiries, email: matfenvillage@gmail.com
